Human Resources Director– Grays Harbor Public Utility District is accepting applications for the position of Human Resources Director.  The District is a progressive utility providing electric and telecom services to 41,000 customers.  This position is a member of the Senior Leadership Team and reports directly to the General Manager.  Duties include:  Responsible for administration of all functional areas of the Human Resources department as well as providing direction, support, guidance and expertise to others regarding these areas.  Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to recruitment and staffing, performance management including discipline, employee and labor relations including collective bargaining, compensation and benefits administration, employee training and development, policies and procedures, HRIS, and compliance with employment laws, regulations, policies and procedures. Works closely with other senior-level positions to develop and recommend District-wide strategies and policies for optimal operational performance and to support and advance the District’s Mission, Strategic Plan, and Core Values. Supervise one full-time HR Generalist and one part-time Administrative Helper. 

 Qualification include:  Experience:  A minimum of five (5) years of direct experience in all human resources disciplines with increasing leadership responsibilities. Experience with a utility or public agency preferred but not required.  Education/certification:  Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related field.  Specific Human Resource-related coursework must be evident in education or past training pursuits.  PHR/SPHR preferred.  Equivalency:  An equivalent combination of advanced HR experience, education and/or certification may be determined qualifying.

GRAYS HARBOR PUD is accepting applications for Temporary Student Summer Help and Engineering Interns for the 2017 summer.  Eligible applicants are those enrolled in a full-time academic, technical or vocational program. Preference will be given to applicants who have completed 1 year of post high school education. A limited number of engineering intern, office and/or outside manual labor positions will be filled.

System Engineering Supervisor - Grays Harbor Public Utility District is seeking a full-time System Engineering Supervisor to manage the engineering, planning and design of the District’s transmission and distribution assets. The successful candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, and at least ten years of electrical engineering experience with an electric utility or equivalent experience. A Professional Engineering License in the State of Washington (or ability to obtain one by comity within one year of hire) is desirable. Preference will be given to candidates with two years or more of supervisory experience.
