Grays Harbor Public Utility District is seeking a full-time Transmission & Distribution Engineer to perform electrical engineering for the District's transmission and distribution systems. Duties and tasks include design, cost estimating, drawing preparation, calculations, material and bid specifications, planning and analysis in support of the construction, operation and maintenance of transmission, overhead primary and underground primary distribution lines and related equipment.

Qualifications include:  A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of related education and experience is required. T&D power utility experience is preferred, and candidates with other relevant experience and qualifications are encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will be hired at Level I, II or III depending on experience.  This position is a bargaining unit position represented by IBEW Local 77.

Status: Full-time, Exempt, Union

Work Week: Monday - Friday

Supervisor: Engineering Director

Salary Ranges: 

Monthly Salary Ranges

                Level I (0-3+ years) $6,052 - $7,127

                Level II (4-7+ years) $7,328 - $9,554

                Level III (8+ years) $9,840 - $10,691

Grays Harbor Public Utility District is seeking a full-time System Engineering Supervisorto plan, oversee, and perform transmission and distribution engineering work for the District’s electrical system. Duties and tasks include project planning, budgeting, and prioritizing; employee performance management; work coordination with other departments; establishing and managing contracts for services and consultants; and performing and reviewing electrical designs and project estimates, all in support of the construction, operation, and maintenance of the District’s T&D systems.

Ten years experience working in the electrical power field and either a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of related education and experience is required.  Other desirable qualifications include professional engineering registration, relevant engineering experience, and supervisory experience and training.
