Job Description

Grays Harbor Public Utility District is seeking a full-time System Operations Superintendent to supervise and manage operations of the Substation and Meter departments; plan, design, coordinate, and facilitate all phases of the District’s Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) system. Duties and tasks include work and project planning, budgeting, and prioritizing; employee performance management; work coordination with other departments and agencies; maintaining good labor/management relations; professional ethical leadership; collaborative problem solving; all in support of the construction, operation, and maintenance of the District’s substation and metering systems.

Required qualifications include six years’ experience in the electrical power field and a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Science, or closely related field – or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.  Other preferred qualifications include three years of experience in a supervisory, foreman, or lead capacity; and supervisory training and/or demonstrated leadership/supervisory capabilities.

Monthly Salary Range: $11,483 - $18,658
